Synopsis

In the small village of Veredas, stands “Casa Rosa”, a famous brothel run by Ismael’s mother.Because of this, he is known as the “Son of a Bitch”.

Determined to find the father he has never met, Ismael leaves Veredas alongside his dog, Bacalhau.But through the way, he finds himself facing situations that stubbornly try to pull him back to the fate he is trying to escape.

Erica Maradona

Erica Maradona is a visual artist and partner and a visual storyteller at Otto Desenhos Animados. She adapted “Rocky & Hudson: The Gay Cowboys” into a TV series, winner of the 2021 Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro for Best Animated Series. She was assistant director of City of Pirates, winner of Best Film at Havana in 2019.

Tania Anaya

Tania Anaya holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in Fine Arts and a degree in animation from the Brazil–Canada Cooperation Program. She works with drawing and audiovisual production and has directed short films and documentaries. Her first feature, Nimuendajú, premiered in the official selection of Annecy 2025.

Otto Guerra

Otto Guerra is a filmmaker, animator, and screenwriter, a pioneer of independent animation in Brazil. His works target adult audiences and adapt Brazilian comics. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Sávio Leite

Sávio Leite studied Communication and holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts. He is a short-film director and animation professor whose films have received awards. He won Best Animated Short at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro in 2018. He co-founded the Timeline Video Art Festival and Múmia Animation Festival.
