Director:Phil Mulloy
Phil Mulloy (1948–2025) was a British animator renowned for his darkly satirical, uncompromising films. Born in Wallasey, Cheshire, he studied painting and film before turning fully to animation in the late 1980s, developing a signature style of skeletal black-ink figures and stark, absurdist backdrops. His works—including Cowboys, the Ten Commandments trilogy, and Intolerance—explored human folly, ideology, and violence with biting humor. Over a career spanning more than 60 films, Mulloy earned international acclaim, influenced a generation of animators, and remained creatively active until his passing at 76, leaving a singular, provocative legacy.
