Original Title: 無名の人生

Japan
2025

Introduction

The story follows a bullied boy living quietly in a housing complex in Sendai.
One day, a meeting with a transfer student inspires him to follow in his father’s footsteps and chase the dream of becoming an idol.
From there, his life—at once beautiful and full of sorrow—unfolds as he rises, almost by accident, against the backdrop of issues that define our times: elderly drivers, the dark side of the entertainment industry, unexplained deaths among the young, and the looming shadow of war.
What is the unseen landscape that awaits “the man who was never called by his real name” at the end of his journey?
