Introduction

The film tells the story of Curt Unckel, a social scientist who lived with indigenous peoples for 40 years. Curt was baptized in 1906 by the Guarani as Nimuendajú, and dedicated his life to studying and understanding different cultures. He witnessed the persecution and expulsion of indigenous peoples from their lands.

Tania has undergraduate and master's degrees in fine arts from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She has a degree in animation cinema from the Núcleo de Cinema de Animação de MG (Minas Gerais Animation Cinema Center), which is a technical cooperation initiative between Brazil and Canada (Brazilian Film Foundation, National Film Board of Canada, Federal University of Minas Gerais, Minas Gerais State Department of Culture and the Rede Minas TV network).
Her areas of activity are drawing and audiovisual production. She has made several short films, commercials and institutional animation and documentary films. Tania has just released her first feature film, “Nimuendajú” (animation), and co-directs the feature “O filho da puta” ("The son of a whore", animation) along with Otto Guerra, Sávio Leite and Érica Maradona.
