Introduction
In the early 21st century, a sudden phenomenon known as the Great Uprising gave birth to a land cut off from the outside world, the Lost Ground. Although located within Japan, it became a divided society of two layers: an urban area and an undeveloped zone. Before long, among those living in this unique environment known as the Lost Ground, individuals emerged with special powers—the ability to deconstruct matter and reconstruct it into something entirely new, known as an “Alter.”
Kazuma, a young Alter user living in the undeveloped zone, encounters and clashes with Ryuho, a member of HOLY, a special task force organized to deal with Alter users—and suffers defeat. Kazuma, who pushes forward relying solely on his own strength, and Ryuho, who pursues justice guided by his convictions, share something at their core yet can never truly reconcile. Their Alters collide repeatedly, as their battle unfolds across the desolate landscape…!!

Director：Goro Taniguchi
Born in Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture, Goro Taniguchi is a renowned Japanese anime director and creative producer. Over the course of his career, he has directed a wide range of works, from original projects to adaptations, including Infinite Ryvius, the Code Geass series, Planetes, Jungle Emperor Leo, and ONE PIECE FILM RED.
In addition to directing, he has been active in CG-driven productions such as ID-0, revisions, and BLOODY ESCAPE: Bats out of Hell. He also served as Creative Producer for the anime adaptation project of Azuki.
His latest works include Paris ni Saku Étoile / L'étoile de Paris en fleur (Original Work & Director) and Dark Machine (Creative Producer).
