Introduction
Eleven-year-old Coraline discovers a mysterious door in her new home. Beyond it awaits a dreamlike world and “Other” parents with button eyes who can grant any wish. Delighted, Coraline opens the door every night, until the Other Mother tells her, “You can stay here forever—on one condition. You must let us replace your eyes with buttons…”
Terrified, Coraline rushes back to her own world, only to find that her real parents have disappeared.
