Introduction
This promotional short animation was produced as part of the collaboration between the fashion brand Louis Vuitton and artist Takashi Murakami. In the story, a girl who encounters a mysterious creature in Tokyo’s Omotesandō is guided on a journey into another world. To convey Murakami’s proposed concept of the “Superflat Monogram,” Mamoru Hosoda—whose work in the feature film Digimon Adventure had drawn attention—was specifically chosen to direct, and the project was realized through the combined talents of elite staff from Toei Animation.
